Thank You— I’m Glad You Found Your Way Here

Knowledge is not wisdom. Wisdom is not knowledge. Knowledge comes from learning. Wisdom originates from life experience.

If you’re new here, welcome. And if you’ve been quietly reading along for a while, I’m glad you’re still here.

Welcome and Thank you

I have seen an increase in feedback on my writing, most of it anonymous, so I want to use this to thank each and every one. I am grateful for every word, it is not something I take lightly. It touches me deeply.

Writing is a solitary act most days – just my Mac, a cup of coffee, and a few thoughts I try to make sense of.

When new people choose to pull up a chair and read along, it deserves a pause and a thank-you.

So… thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Why I write (and what I write about)

I didn't set out to be a writer late in life. I started writing because I had things I didn't want to forget, things I didn't understand after my life took a very unexpected turn a few years ago. Moments from my life, frustrations, small victories, and questions that wouldn't leave me alone. Slowly but surely, these have become lessons I've learned, how I'm using what I've learned from my rehab stays, using my experiences and the lessons from my work life, and my life experience, to find a new path in life.

What surprised me was not that writing helps me think more clearly. But how it helps me heal, to find peace within myself. But what surprised me most is that other people identify with the stories. That they find help and comfort, understand that they are not alone in experiencing similar things and feelings. Especially those who unfortunately also suddenly find themselves in a situation where they have to learn to move on, where their lives have taken an unexpected turn that challenges the way they used to live their lives.

I am writing about my journey after an accident, what I have been through, how it affects and changes my life and the lives of those I love, how I have handled the challenges, how I am learning to use the help I receive, combined with my own knowledge and life lessons, to regain a meaningful life again. Rebuilding my life.

I write about routines, reflection, health, diet, and the adjustments that come when life takes an unexpected turn.

It’s about learning how to live with clarity, gratitude, humor, and purpose, even as the seasons change.

Most of my writing is in the space between still wanting to grow and no longer having to prove anything. I just want to share.

If there’s a common thread, it’s this: I don't write from the finish line. I write from inside the journey.

My hope is: That my experience and learnings, will help and inspire others to keep fighting when life takes a difficult turn, showing and inspire that there is a way back, but yes, you and only you can make the necessary changes. You need to walk the way. There is no shortcut it is what it is, and it demands hard work. But it is worth it, every single painful step, so keep fighting. I believe in you.

What You Won’t Find Here

You won’t find hustle culture – performance culture.
You won't find shortcuts to “10 hacks to reinvent your life overnight.”
You won’t find motivational shouting.

What you find here is solely my experience, my interpretation of what I learn and how I use it. Written with my words in the way I feel and see things.

You will find real stories, my life experiences, my lessons learned, and questions that don't always have clear answers.

Some pieces are reflective.

Some are practical. Some surprise me while I’m writing them.

That’s intentional.

At this stage of life, I’m more interested in clarity than volume. Direction over noise. And fun writing, even if it’s imperfect.

I'm not going to yell at you, I'm not going to feel sorry for you. I'm not going to mislead you into thinking it's not hard work. It's not about pretending that nothing hurts or that everything is positive.

I will empathize with you, support you, maybe even try to help you, I will tell you both the good and the bad stories. And I believe in you and that your life makes a difference in this world.

Why I'm happy and interested You're Here

If you've been by recently, something struck you.

Maybe it was a line about still figuring things out. Maybe it was a story about learning. Maybe it was simply reading something that didn't pretend everything is solved.

No matter where you came in, you are welcome here.

I read comments. I appreciate thoughtful responses. And I write follow-up stories inspired by readers' reflections.

This is not intended to be a one-way broadcast; I hope it can become a conversation that unfolds slowly.

If you ever wonder if it's "too late" to start rebuilding yourself, change your lifestyle. or how, or if you're struggling to get started, or if you need inspiration to keep going or just need to read to find peace with yourself, you’re exactly who I’m writing for

Thx again for being here🙏, with love Jørn❤️.
